After breakfast your private guide will take you for a half day tour of ancient Rome.
Feel as if you have been taken back in time following in the footsteps of the gladiators in the Colosseum. Walk through the remains of the Roman Forum viewing what was once the centre of elections, criminal trials and public speeches.
Explore Augustus’s Arch, which spanned the road between the three main temples – Temple of Castor and Pollux, Caesar and Vesta.
The guide will take you onto the Trevi Fountain where you can throw a coin in. One coin means you will return to Rome, two find a new love, three marriage!
The tour continues onto The Spanish Steps, Via Condotti; the designer shopping street of Rome, Castel Sant’Angelo and the Pantheon. Be sure to notice the “demon hole” in the centre of the Pantheon when the light shines through!

Day at leisure to explore Rome at your own pace. A visit to the Capitoline Museums is very near to your hotel and provides an elaborate display of Roman artifacts.

Ostia Antica is one of the original port harbours in the world and served Rome in times of sea trade. Lying only twenty-four kilometres from the city, your private driver will take you to the site where your guide will explain the history to you. There are splendid cypress tress, fantastic frescoes and you avoid the crowds of Rome. After the tour your private driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
